Many parents of pupils at Chesham Preparatory School live in Buckinghamshire. Bucks Local Education Authority retains Grammar schools which are selective. Having a Bucks home post code (our school post code is not relevant) entitles parents to put their children forward for Grammar School selection tests at 11+. Children who “pass” the test are deemed suitable for a Grammar school education, while those who do not are allocated an Upper school place.

Once the children enter the Senior School they learn to become independent, self-reliant and organised. Whilst they still have a form teacher and a form room, they are now taught by subject specialists for every lesson and move between specialist rooms in a campus packed full of excellent facilities.
