About Senior School

Once the children enter the Senior School they learn to become independent, self-reliant and organised. Whilst they still have a form teacher and a form room, they are now taught by subject specialists for every lesson and move between specialist rooms in a campus packed full of excellent facilities. This acts as the perfect preparation for transfer to secondary school at both 11+ and 13+.

Life in Senior School

Life in Senior school is very similar, and intentionally so, to that of a secondary school.  All subjects are taught by specialists and children move around the school campus style, from department to department.

Curriculum in Senior School

In Years 5 – 8 children are taught English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Spanish, French, Information and Communications Technology, Music, Design Technology, Art, Personal Social and Health Education, Religious Education and Physical Education.

Reporting to Parents in Senior School

Parents are invited to attend consultation evenings twice yearly at which staff discuss children's progress and targets with their parents. In the autumn and summer terms parents receive a full written report on their child's progress.
