About Lower School
The Lower School is arranged in three year groups, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, with two parallel classes in each year. There are a maximum of twenty children in each class and each class is supported by a full time teaching assistant.Read More >>
Life in Lower School
The Lower School (Reception to Year 2) is where the children receive the foundation for their future education and indeed for their lives. Curriculum in Lower School
In Reception the children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and have lessons with specialist teachers for PE and Music. Lower School teachers deliver their own ICT. In Years One and Two the children have lessons in Literacy, Numeracy, Science, History, Geography, Design and Technology, Art, Music, Spanish, PSHCE and Religious Education based on National Curriculum topics and guidelines. A Typical Day in Lower School
From 8.00am until 8.30am there is an early morning club which is supervised by a member of staff. This takes place in the dining room and is for those parents who drop their child at school early.Read More >>
