We have decided to switch from French to Spanish and have been
teaching Spanish since 2007. French was phased out in September 2009.
The children start to learn Spanish in Year 1.
We aim to motivate all our students by providing them with the tools
and the opportunity to communicate with speakers of hispanic nations. We
want them to enjoy language learning. We equip them with up-to-date
linguistic knowledge and skills and cultivate really positive attitudes
towards diversity in other nationalities and cultures.
We hope
that learning Spanish from such a young age will be the starting point
for a love of languages which will become part of their life-long
learning journey.
