Whilst CPS is essentially a mixed-ability school, we do feel it appropriate to introduce a degree of setting by ability for certain subjects.Formal setting for Maths begins in Year 4; setting for English starts in Year 5; and setting for Spanish and French starts in Year 7.in Maths and English there are four sets in each year group based upon a A,B,B,C set system.
