Year 2 have a bubbly good time!
Each of the Year 4 classes have spent an exciting day learning more about rivers. We measured the depth, width and velocity of the River Chess in Chesham, then compared our results with the ones we collected at Scottsbridge Mill in Rickmansworth. We discovered that near the source of the river the water is shallower, the river narrower and slower.
In the afternoon we went pond dipping and used a flow chart to identify many, many water creatures - including a water scorpion!
We all had a great time and learned a lot from our practical studies, despite getting our wellies full of water!
