It is with great pleasure, huge pride and tremendous satisfaction that I publish the copy of our latest ISI inspection report following the visit we received in March 2010 from the inspectors. As you will see, the report is outstanding and is full of the highest praise for what we achieve at Chesham Prep School.

As you read through the report you will notice the places where judgements are made under paragraphs 2.1 through to 2.10, covering: The quality of pupils' achievements and their learning, attitudes and basic skills, The quality of pupils' personal development, and The effectiveness of governance, leadership and management, and in paragraphs 4.1 to 4.4 in relation to the EYFS. In absolutely every case, we receive the top grade although the use of language changes to avoid repetition of the word “excellent”!
We are delighted with all of the inspectors' findings but particularly proud of the judgement on the quality of the teaching, especially considering the higher than usual number of lessons that were observed. The Reporting Inspector remarked that this is the toughest category in which to achieve “excellent” and is only gained by about 10% of schools. She also had difficulty in finding anything to say by way of recommendation for future improvement and apologised for having to include anything at all!

I am hugely proud of what this report represents and enormously grateful to every single member of the entire CPS team, for their contribution in the overall excellence that we all enjoy. I am grateful to the children and also to you, the parents, for your positive responses in the questionnaires where you clearly aided the inspectors in reaching their judgements.
Chesham Prep is an excellent school, in every area and in every respect. It is official!
