Grade Exams

The instrumental staff teaching team at Chesham Preparatory School provide tuition across the full range of instruments: percussion, strings, woodwind, brass, keyboards and voice. Individual teachers enter their pupils for music exams with The Associated Board of the Royal School of Music, Trinity, Guildhall and Rock School. The decision to follow the graded exam route is made on an individual basis by the particular teacher, parent and pupils.

Over recent years children have reached and passed their examination at grade 5 level across the full range of instruments.

Gifted and Talented Music

Within the Music Department provision for Gifted and Talented Children is made both instrumentally and vocally.
