Lower School Trips

Trips and visitors coming into school are an important and enjoyable part of school life. The children usually participate in one visit per term and these tend to be linked to enhancing their learning and understanding of subjects on the curriculum.

The whole of Lower School enjoying a pantomime at the local Elgiva Theatre in Chesham, Reception visiting Asheridge Woods and Year One enjoying a hands on art workshop at St. Alban’s Cathedral, and Year Two visiting the Roald Dahl Museum at Great Missenden.

In the Summer Term Lower School enjoy three days of activities which this year will include a Lego experience, learning circus skills and a variety of cooking and art activities. There are also trips out with Reception going to Willow Farm, Year One going to Knebworth House and Year Two going to the Chiltern Open Air Museum.

Every opportunity is made to draw on the experience and knowledge of parents and parents have been willing to come and share short talks and show artefacts to the children that support the curriculum.
