The U11A Hockey girls travelled to Rugby School to play in the IAPS National Hockey competition and came home with a tremendous third place, meaning Chesham Prep are third overall in the country!
The girls were absolutely fantastic and coped brilliantly with the freezing temperatures and the quick succession of matches. The
determination, resilience and teamwork the girls showed was
amazing to see from 10 and 11 year old girls. They were undoubtedly the best team there; however, the nature of the competition meant they were incredibly unlucky not to reach the finals.
This is the furthest the U11 girls team has ever reached in an IAPS
competition and lots of school records were broken, such as
Megan S with the total number of goals scored in a term and Iona M (GK) for the number of clean sheets in a term.
The girls should be very proud of what they have achieved and a huge thank you goes to Mr Hudson and Miss Bartlett for their
support throughout the term.
