It’s a real pleasure to welcome you to Chesham Prep, a school with a proud heritage, a strong sense of belonging, and a bright, exciting future.

Since we first opened our doors in 1938, Chesham Prep has been a family-centred school at the heart of the local community. I feel incredibly fortunate to be the Head here, leading a school where warmth, ambition and individuality are part of everyday life.

We’re passionate about providing an exceptional education; one that helps every child discover their strengths and grow in confidence, curiosity and creativity. Academic excellence is important here, and our small classes, experienced staff and fantastic facilities give children the attention and challenge they need to thrive. Our pupils go on to a wide range of top Grammar and Independent Senior Schools, and we’re proud of everything they achieve.

But school life is about far more than results. At Chesham Prep, we believe in preparing children not just for their next school, but for life. We’re a forward-thinking school, with high expectations and a strong belief in the importance of resilience, kindness and adaptability. We look forward to welcoming you and your family to our wonderful school. At the whole school Open Mornings there will be tours of the school and the opportunity to speak to our class teachers and specialist teachers as you go round. At the end of the tour you will meet me and members of the Senior Management Team and our Head of Admissions, Mandy Chase, will also be available to answer any admissions questions.
