We were delighted to welcome independent reviewers,  The Good Schools Guide and Muddy Stillettos to our school. Click on their logos to read what they had to say about our school community.

Good schools guide

“First-rate staff from the top down bring out the absolute best in children here at CPS. A warm family feel, and the hands-on curriculum and top-notch facilities ensure pupils have fun while they learn, and learn they most certainly do.”

Muddy Stillettos

“This rural co-ed prep school pulls off the near impossible – amazing results for both 11+ and next schools while retaining a village school vibe.”

“Praise and more praise – the consensus is that it hits the sweet spot of inclusivity and allowing children to be children, but also making sure they deliver on academics.”

ISI Report

Every three years Chesham Prep is inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI). As we are an Independent School this is instead of the OFSTED reports that inspect schools within the state system.

ISI is an independent inspectorate, appointed by the Department for Education to inspect association independent schools in England. ISI inspection reports inform the Department for Education on the extent to which the statutory Independent School Standards are met.

Our most recent ISI Inspection Report was published in 2025, successfully meeting standards across all categories.

We are delighted to say that the inspectors were highly impressed with the teaching and learning, co-curricular and pastoral provision in our school. The quality of our curricular provision and the immense array of opportunities the children receive earnt special recognition, with the school attaining a Significant Strength in this area. Such a rating is rarely awarded; we feel very proud of receiving this accolade.

“Leaders, in keeping with the school’s aims, provide a ‘kaleidoscope of experiences’, which are widely available to pupils. These experiences enable pupils to discover their talents and strengths, and they foster a love of learning.”
