🔴🔵 Founders Day—a day of fun, creativity, and incredible school spirit! 🟢🟡

The morning was filled with energy as the children spent their time practising the House Song, getting creative with the CPS Badge Design, and testing their wits in the Quiz and Scavenger Hunt.

The excitement peaked as the whole school came together for a spectacular Talent Show, showcasing the incredible skills of our pupils.

We were delighted to be joined by our judging panel: Headteacher Mr Otter, Database Manager Nick Beale, and a very special guest, Helene Richards. Helene’s story is a living piece of our history; she joined CPS as a pupil in 1939 after being evacuated from Vienna. Our founders, Mr and Mrs Adlington, personally welcomed her to the school to provide her with an education and a safe haven. Having her back with us today, 87 years later, was a moving reminder of the kindness and vision our school was built upon.

Congratulations to our 2026 winners:

🏆 House Cup – Aylward
🏛️ Founders Day – Stevenson
🎤 Talent Show – Emilia and Sharli
📸 Photography Competition – Savannah

A huge well done to everyone in our school community for making this a Founders Day to remember! 👏🎊

🌳 Leaving a Legacy! ✨

Our Year 6 children have been busy planting the very first ‘Y6 Legacy’ hedge this week! 🌿

This is the start of a wonderful new tradition where, each year, our leavers will add to the hedge—leaving a growing, living legacy for future generations to enjoy long after they move on.

As Eashan and Caspar perfectly put it:

“We’ve been planting trees and bushes at the top of the field to brighten up the area. It’s an act of kindness towards local wildlife—when they grow, animals can feed on the leaves and pupils can enjoy the shade. When we come back to visit in the future, we can remember our time here.” 🐦🌸
