Flapjack Wednesdays and the May Fair both score highly on Chesham pupils’ list of favourite events: the former thanks to a stellar new pastry chef, and the latter likely because youngsters get to vote on which teacher should be ‘slimed’.
Head Jonathan Beale describes this rural Buckinghamshire prep as ‘a nurturing, sporty, adventurous family’. And with seven acres of playing fields, a 25-metre indoor pool, a grass cricket wicket and all-weather pitch, exercise comes easily. Meanwhile, music and drama are flourishing. Following the redevelopment of the Adlington Hall, its arts space almost stole the show at a recent staging of Oliver! Jr; and for budding performers, LAMDA lessons are now on the curriculum.
